This gig was quite a bit
different from the norm! We played a gig for a benefit at the Ritz
Carlton in downtown Washington D.C. not knowing exactly what to
expect. As it turns out, the event was hosted by Bo Derek and
Sam Donaldson. We performed for about one hour, only to step
off the stage to see, and meet, Quincy Jones who was watching SoulerCoaster
's performance from the front row!!!!
Meeting Quincy (otherwise
known as Mr. Jones) was a real thrill, considering he produced half of
what we had just played! For those of you who do not know Quincy
Jones' work, he produced Michael Jackson's Thriller album, the number one
selling album of all time, and he has been nominated for a record 76
grammies! This would only begin to list his vast
accomplishments.
Also in attendance at the
gig were world heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield, and the all
time basketball king Michael Jordan!!! This gig was a real
thrill for us to play.
Unfortunately, we didn't
capture everything on film, but you get the idea from the pictures below!
By the way, Bo is still a 10!
